Safehouse of the Desert was honored as a Nonprofit of the Year during a celebration of the California Nonprofit Day. Being held at the State Capitol in Sacramento, Safehouse of the Desert joined other nonprofit leaders from all over California for the inaugural event on Wednesday. Safehouse was selected by assembly member Chad Mayes.
Safehouse provides short and long-term services, open 24 hours a day, for runaway and homeless youth, young adults and victims of human trafficking throughout Riverside County.
Safehouse of the Desert is the only shelter for youth in crisis in Coachella Valley and were acknowledged as an exceptional nonprofit organization.
