Deputies Investigating Shooting in Coachella

A 30-year-old man received non-life threatening wounds today in a shooting in Coachella, authorities said.

At around 4:30 p.m., Coachella police responded around to a report of a shooting in the desert area on Avenue 48, west of Tyler Street, according to Sgt. Randy Vasquez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound but he was expected to survive, Vasquez said.
