PALM SPRINGS, Ca.
It seems like the wildly popular sculpture of the legendary Marilyn Monroe is one step closer to returning to downtown Palm Springs, and this time to stay forever.
PS Resorts announced it will propose the city council to privately raise the funds needed in order to bring the 26-foot sculpture back. PS resorts says half of the cost will be sponsored by the RumChata Foundation. The other half will be raised through private donations.
The sculpture would reside in the proposed new downtown park. Meanwhile, the city says it is looking forward to hearing from PS Resorts about the potential partnership at next week’s city council meeting.
