A crash involving two big rigs shut down the left two lanes of eastbound Interstate 10 in Indio Tuesday.
The non-injury crash was reported at 3:45 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 at the Indio Boulevard on-ramp.
The California Highway Patrol reported the two trucks “lodged together” in the freeway’s left lanes and would have to be pulled apart before the scene could be cleared.
The crash slowed traffic as far back as Palm Desert and the CHP issued a SigAlert just after 4 p.m.
Just after 6 p.m., the trucks were moved off the freeway onto nearby Monroe Street and all lanes were reopened, according to CHP.
