A man was airlifted to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries in an incident involving construction equipment Thursday morning in Thermal.
County firefighters were called at 8:05 a.m. to a field near the intersection of Polk Street and Avenue 77, April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The initial report was that a man was suffering from an “unknown medical emergency” in the field, Newman said.
However, upon arriving, the firefighters determined that the man suffered traumatic injuries sustained by construction equipment.
Details on what the specific piece of equipment was and how it caused injuries to the man were not immediately available.
