Riverside County: Debate Watch Parties

Local supporters of Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump will hold viewing parties as the two major-party presidential candidates square off tonight in the first of three presidential debates.

The 90-minute debate from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, begins at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on multiple television channels. It will also be streamed live on YouTube and various other online platforms. NBC’s Lester Holt will be the moderator.

Some of the viewing events require a reservation, and some might already be booked to capacity, so it’s best to call each specific venue ahead of time, or check their Facebook page.

The California arm of the Clinton campaign announced official viewing parties at the following Riverside County Location: (All events begin at 5:30 p.m.)
   –Palm Springs: Private Residence, 699 Wilson Lane
   –Cathedral City: Private Residence, 31670 Avenida El Mundo
   –Hemet: Hemet Democratic Headquarters, 530 1/2 E Florida Ave
   –La Quinta: Private Residence, 81731 Charismatic Way
   –Palm Desert: Private Residence, 73931 Rutledge Way
   –Twentynine Palms: Private Residence, 6423 Palo Verde Ave
   –Lake Elsinore: Democratic Regional Headquarters, 17600 Collier Ave # F149

Several unofficial viewing events are also being held by various local individuals and Democratic Party groups. See Clinton’s campaign website for more details.

The Riverside County Young Democrats are also hosting a debate viewing party at the following location:
   –Riverside: 2155 Chicago Ave Suite 201 (4 p.m.)
   Trump supporters are hosting a viewing party at the following location:
   –Riverside: 975 Country Club Drive (5 p.m.)

Less partisan viewing events unaffiliated with either campaign will be held at a number of restaurants and bars.

The World Famous Palm Canyon Roadhouse in Palm Springs will screen the debate and offer drink and food specials beginning at 6 p.m. at 535 S. Palm Canyon Drive.

Georgie’s Alibi Azul Patio in Palm Springs will show the debate ”with live moderator Ron Oden” beginning at 6 p.m. at 369 N Palm Canyon Drive.

Sons of Liberty Aleworks in Norco will host a debate viewing party, offering free hot dogs to attendees. The event begins at 6 p.m. at 1780 Town and Country Dr, Unit 101.
