Two men were arrested in connection with two strong- arm robberies in La Quinta and one in Coachella, authorities said.
The first robbery was at 5:55 p.m. Friday in the area of Highway 111 and Dune Palms Road, La Quinta police Sgt. Mike Bianco said.
‘`Within one hour, two additional strong-arm robberies were reported, one in the city of La Quinta and one in the city of Coachella,” Bianco said.
In all three cases, two men had taken the purses of female victims, he said.
The white vehicle described by the victims was located shortly after the third robbery in Coachella, Bianco said. The vehicle and the two men inside were detained.
“Evidence and property belonging to all three victims was located in the vehicle,” he said.
Ethan Charnley, 18, and David Landeros, 19, both of La Quinta, were arrested and booked into the Indio jail on, Bianco said.
They were booked for suspicion of second-degree robbery and bail for each was set at $30,000, according to the Riverside County sheriff’s inmate records. They were due in court Wednesday.
